Traditional and Implant-Retained Dentures

Losing teeth can leave you feeling self-conscious about smiling and rob you of the ability to chew your food and speak clearly. This can be a significant limitation in your day-to-day life. Teeth also help support facial muscles, so without them, your face can appear sunken, causing you to look much older than you actually are.

Treatment Planning
for Dentures

At West Glades Dental, we make partial, complete, or implant-supported dentures to restore your appearance and give you greater dietary options to support healthy nutrition. You have the option of traditional removable dentures or dentures that lock in with multiple dental implants to securely snap in place.

Dr. Molero and our team will provide you with a thorough examination that will include digital x-rays and pictures taken with our intraoral camera. Dr. Molero or Dr. Soto will discuss what they find with you so that you will know the status of your dental health and can make an educated choice about how to treat it.

Modern technology has made it possible to create dentures that are more comfortable and look more natural than those your parents or grandparents may have worn. Dentures do not have to look fake!

Complete Denture Evaluation

After your examination, Dr. Molero or Dr. Soto will scan your mouth and gums using our CBCT (cone beam computed tomography) scanner, which gives us a highly accurate 3-D image of your mouth and bone structure.

We will discuss your goals for the appearance of your smile. Denture teeth come in a variety of colors to match your skin tone and age so your dentures look natural. Together, you can choose a look that suits your appearance.

Partial Dentures

If you still have some of your natural teeth, we can create custom partial dentures to complete your smile. Partial dentures use your remaining teeth as an anchor to hold your partial in place. Taking exceptional care of your remaining teeth is essential to the longevity of your partial denture’s fit!

We create your partial denture to blend in with your natural teeth, so your smile appears seamless.

Benefits of Dentures

Dentures can offer many benefits to our patients with missing teeth:

  • Fuller facial appearance
  • More varied dietary options
  • Clearer speech
  • More confidence
  • Younger appearance

If you want additional security or you're looking to avoid sticky denture adhesives or reduce denture mobility, you might consider implant-retained dentures.

Implant-Retained Dentures

Implant-retained dentures will give you a stronger, more stable lower denture, as lower dentures tend to move around more in your mouth. Dr. Soto will place two to four implants in your lower jaw, which work to hold your denture in place. Your denture will have an attachment that snaps securely over the implants while still giving you a comfortable fit over your gums.
